Anxiety is one of the most common reasons people seek psychiatric care, and one of the most treatable. At Psych Dimensions, we provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and therapy for adults living with anxiety at our offices in Georgetown, Waco, and San Antonio.
We have been serving Central Texas since 2015. Our providers are Texas-licensed, live in the communities they serve, and are owned and operated by two psychiatric practitioners who still see patients themselves.
Anxiety does not always look like panic attacks. Many people live with anxiety for years before seeking help because their symptoms feel like personality traits or just the way they are wired. Common presentations we see include:
Persistent worry about everyday things such as work, health, finances, or relationships, often accompanied by physical tension, fatigue, and difficulty concentrating.
Intense fear of judgment or embarrassment in social situations that causes people to avoid interactions, opportunities, or relationships.
Recurring panic attacks with physical symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness, and a sense of losing control, along with persistent fear of the next episode.
Excessive preoccupation with having or developing a serious illness, often not relieved by reassurance or normal test results.
Anxiety and depression frequently occur together. When both are present, treatment needs to address both, not just one.
If you are unsure whether what you are experiencing qualifies as an anxiety disorder, that is exactly what a psychiatric evaluation is for. You do not need to have a diagnosis to make an appointment.
Every new patient starts with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. We review your symptoms, history, current medications, and life context. This is not a 15-minute intake. The goal is to understand what is actually going on before making any clinical decisions.
For many patients, medication is a meaningful part of treatment. We prescribe and manage psychiatric medications for anxiety, monitor your response over time, and adjust as needed. We do not push medication if it is not appropriate for your situation, and we do not prescribe and disappear. Ongoing follow-up care is part of the process.
We provide therapy in-house, which means your prescriber and therapist can communicate directly. Patients with anxiety often benefit from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which has strong clinical evidence for anxiety disorders. Because medication management and therapy are available under the same roof, your care is coordinated rather than fragmented.
We offer telehealth appointments for patients who prefer remote visits or have difficulty traveling. Telehealth is offered as an option for appropriate care, not as a substitute. All of our providers are based in Texas and licensed in Texas.
